Staccato Dispense Capillaries fit directly to numerous liquid handling systems and support precise, non-contact, low volume dispensing. Staccato comes in a variety of orifice sizes, with or without coating to optimize performance.

Each batch of Staccato Dispense Capillaries are quality tested in house and manufactured to rigorous inspection standards including Voltage V, Pulse Width µs, Frequency Hz, and Drop Volume pL. Furthermore, each Staccato is manufactured to exact dimensions ensuring capillary length is consistently the same, enabling better dispense across multi-channel dispensing.
Staccato Drop Volume
Staccato 50P: 150 – 220 pL
Staccato 60P: 220 – 300 pL
Staccato 70P: 300 – 360 pL
Staccato 80P: 360 – 440 pL
Staccato 90P: 440 – 520 pL
Staccato 100P: 520 – 600 pL

Staccato Coatings
Staccato Dispense Capillaries deliver stable printing for many reagents. The exceptionally high manufacturing tolerances give consistent drop ejection and minimize salt deposits. However, some printing applications, such as proteins, oleic solutions, and organic solvents benefit from coating the silica capillary.
We offer a range of coatings providing hydrophobic surfaces that reduce reagent absorption in the capillary channel promoting smooth dispensing. The coatings are covalently bonded providing an ultra-thin layer that is biocompatible and biostable.

We have two standard coatings: Alto and Bass. These give moderate and high hydrophobicity respectively. Lighthouse Diagnostics applications team is available to assist you in making the best choice for coatings. Further, we can tailor the choice and adhesion method of coatings to suit your specific reagent application.
